A Poet Knows

A Poet knows emotions that most
people do not even know exist,
they can make you feel so very
special like you are the only one
in the world or destroy you with
just a quick flick of their wrist by
using words that they infuse with
emotions in all of the ink that
they spill while they can speak
directly to your heart and can
wake up the very depths as they
listen to your soul and with that
pen that they use which can be
the most beautiful of flowers that
can spread peace, love and joy all
around but it can also be a very
sharp sword a wepon that can
slice into your heart in hate so
much that you will wish that you
were never born words can be
and should be only used for the
good yet they are powerful and
hurtful and can do much harm,
and while a writer can take you on
a beautiful magical journey within
your own mind if they are also
poets with the very special gift of
words than they can take you even
further to places with your heart
that only your soul can ever find.
