It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority.”

Freedom

Freedom is a word that we
use here in the United States of America
to describe what our values and
beliefs are all across this great land
from the purple mountains majesty
and sea to shining sea,
but freedom is never really free for any
race of man. The cost of freedom is
so severe that we fight for it in its name,
but how are you free in a country where
everyone is not treated all the same?
we have laws so unfair to everyone, and
our civil rights lame, a political nightmare
that we need to vote on, for the Democrats
or the Republicans that are all only in it
like it is only just a Facebook game.
How free are you to go find a job when quotas
are the norm it should not matter what race
or gender you are if we can all do the job
the same so I say take away the quotas
and make it fair for all so only the best will
remain. What does it matter if you are gay,
straight, or in between, because when it comes
to love when two people no matter what
gender or race fall in love, it is happy every
where. This country that I love was built
on the blood of every race of man. so, please
try to remember that the sweat that we drip
and the blood that we bleed is the same color,
so we must all come together and make a stand.
Please tell me how is freedom free when it
cost us every day, with a government who
wants to control more and more of what we
can do when we can do it and where you go,
with all the many laws they pass then make
us all obey so they can pull you over then write
a ticket then look at how much money they all
made. They say that slavery is over and every
man is free, but our jails are overcrowded filled
full of people just trying to make it through
because the government is more concerned
about the money they make by arresting, then
jailing you, and oh yeah bonding you, then
making you pay for classes that fall about twelve
steps too short, because really trying to help us
makes them no money at all and they need for
all the made up wars, for the all mighty dollar,
and a barrel of oil that I paid two dollars and
twenty-four cents this morning and so much more.
How is it free with how much it cost now to live
I mean we have our hero's the veterans living out
on the streets coming home with PTSD and other
issues I mean really? They risked their lives in
freedoms name yet there freedom is not free?
They tax us when we eat, and just to fall asleep,
tax us all to go to work, to drive, hell they tax us
from the day that we are born and even tax us
when we die. So you see freedom in its true form
is never really free no matter who you are, what
you do, or where you are. For the only real true
freedom that exists lives only in our minds, souls,
and hearts.
