Skips a Beat

His heart still after all these
many years skips a beat every
single time that he sees her,
with the thoughts of how much
love he still has for her, always
remembering those very special
moments that they both had
shared together in another place
and time, while his soul keeps
trying so hard to reach out to
hers so that maybe if they could
dance at least just one more time
around the moon and the stars
above she might start to remember
what they once both had so
maybe this time forever it would
last.
